Biography
Dr. Jaw-Wen Chen is currently the professor of medicine in Institute of Pharmacology in National Yang-Ming University, and the director of clinical research in the Department of Medical Research in Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan. He has been to the cardiovascular research center of Stanford University in the USA for post-Doc research. He is also a cardiologist major in hypertension, interventional cardiology, and atherosclerosis cardiovascular diseases. His research work is focus on atherogenesis, vascular progenitor cells and angiogenesis, and genetic and clinical biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases. He was invited to review national research projects for Australia, Ireland. Portugal, Poland, and Taiwan; and review papers for 60 SCI journals. He has served as editor-in-chief of Acta Cardiologica Sinica (SCI) (2012~2015) and is still the editorial board of 5 international SCI journals in US, UK and Japan. He was the first vice president of Taiwan Society of Cardiology and is currently the honor board of Taiwan Society of Lipids and Atherosclerosis, the follow of American Heart Association (FAHA), European Society of Cardiology (FESC), and Asia-Pacific Society of Cardiology (FAPSC). Until July 2017, he has published 300 scientific papers in international SCI journals.
